Here’s how it works. Buying your fashion items from Gap scores you points along the line. Depending on your registration choice, you’ll be classified as either a member or even better, a cardmember. As with any of the two, you'll enjoy early access, member-only exclusive offers, a chance to donate your rewards towards a good cause and special bonuses. Bonuses depend on the ‘weight’ of your Gap points which in turn depends on the number of brands that you shop from. You’ll get 500, 1000 and 2,000 bonus points for shopping from 2,3, and 4 brands respectively. Bonus points fetch you even more perks. For 125 bonus points, you’ll get a birthday bonus. For 250, there’s some icing on the cake. Gap gives you a birthday surprise and two times your total bonus on Double Rewards Day. The Rewards Program further ranks customers into three tiers in ascending order – Core, Enthusiast, and Icon. To reach Icon level, you’d have to be a cardmember with 5,000 points or spend over $1000 in one year.
